[Opinions] Angel or Harmony for a boy
What do y’all think about using the name Angel or Harmony for a boy? I’m not too worried about the names sounding feminine, I just want to know if y’all think it’s a good name or if it sounds off-putting for a boy, because I know a man named Angel, and I have heard of men named Harmony.

I think Harmony for a boy sounds old-fashioned like Harmon. Or potentially African-influenced like Happy or Goodness would sound to me. It's ok (I would prefer it to Harmon which seems stuffy in comparison), but I've never heard of one.
Angel for a boy seems Hispanic. Or else it reminds me of the TV show Angel (about a vampire named Angelus) or the play/movie Rent. It's ok, but I don't personally like it much (seems a bit cliche romantic).

I think they're overly saccharine on boys and girls alike.
Harmony on a boy is very cool; I think of the alt auteur Harmony Korine.
Angel is fine, though I prefer Angelo and Arcangelo.

Angel is pretty solidly unisex.
My first reaction on Harmony is that it's feminine, but if I just think about the sound, it could work on a boy. The 'Harmon' part has that 'masculine surname-name' sound.

Don't like either for a boy
For me Harmony will always be a girl name. I'm on the fence about Angel. I find it more to be a girl's name but thanks to the TV show Angel (spin off from Buffy) I think it could work for a boy, possibly.
They're beautiful. I know a Hispanic guy named Angel, and it suits him *flawlessly.* Like, he always has this dreamy gaze and makes a point of trying to do the right thing all the time, but it's never annoying.
Harmony, while certainly perceived as more of a feminine name, could be just as beautiful on a boy. Harmony, after all, is a universal concept. They're not unusual or off-putting -- in fact, I could imagine a male Harmony just as well as a female one, and I prefer Angel for boys.

Angel on a guy, I read as Hispanic, Ángel (An-khel).
The English word Angel as a name, seems about as feminine as Jewel, in my mind. I mean, it could be a guy name, but I don't expect it, and wouldn't like it. I associate it with the Angel-names for gals - Angela, Angelina, Angelique etc. I don't really like the sound of "angel" as a name. It sounds like an endearment or ... be an angel and do the dishes tonight, would you? Also reminds me of the way people sometimes refer to someone who died as a child or infant.
Harmony works for a guy, I think. It's kind of a California hippie vibe, to me - like Cedar or Sequoia or Brook, usually it's a gal but it wouldn't be that weird if it were a guy.
