[Opinions] Mercedes
Thoughts on this name? Is it still too associated with the car brand?

I like it. I don’t really associate it with the car brand. Maybe it’s because I have a relative named Mercedes.

Aw, I like Mercedes. It's accessibly romantic. I don't first think of the automotive company because I hate cars; I think of mercy, the Virgin Mary, and Oscar-winning actresses Mercedes McCambridge and Mercedes Ruehl.
ETA: I just learned that McCambridge's full birth name was Carlotta Mercedes Agnes. Wow, gorgeous!

Definitely. Older people, sense of entitlement, especially when people need to yield to them, better behaved than BMW drivers but, for both, the ones to avoid are the white cars. A white Merc showed me courtesy on the road the other day, and I nearly swallowed my steering wheel.
It's beautiful but I don't associated with a car brand.
I think so. But nn Mercy is cute and the association isn’t a bad thing if the parents like cars.
Since the car was named after a girl with this name, kind of a circle argument. I like it, never loved it, but do like it. Never tied it to the car that much.
I love Mercedes, it's a beautiful name. I've known a few. I think it's still fairly connected to the car, but it would depend on where you lived. A good chunk of people would be more familiar with the car brand rather than it's history as a first name.
Don't like it, yes too associated with the car
Not at all. It's great name.
