[Opinions] Literary/History Names
I thought I'd share some interesting names from literature and history. I thought Wordsmith and NewChloe would enjoy these.
George Sand (a 19th century writer, I highly recommend checking her out) - her real name was Amantine Lucile Aurore Dupin
Her children were Solange & Maurice
Names from the Surrealist movement:
Rmedios Varo, full name María de los Remedios Alicia Rodriga Varo y Uranga
Leonora Carrington, full name Mary Leonora Carrington. Sons Pablo & Gabriel
Kati Horna - real name Katalin
Man Ray - real name Emmanuel Parents Melach and Manya
Peggy Guggenheim real name Marguerite. Daughter Pegeen Jezebel Margaret, son Michael Cedric Sindbad

Today George Sand would probably identify as non-binary. She wore men's clothes and wasn't much for 'womanly' activities.
It's not like George Eliot or the Bronte sisters at all.

I love George Sand's given name! I also love Remedios, Leonora, and Pegeen Jezebel Margaret, wow!
Thanks for sharing!

I like Lucile, Solange, Maurice; Maria, Alicia; Mary; Margaret; Michael, Cedric
Pegeen Jezebel Margaret is oddly disappointing. Use Jezebel by all means, but why stick it between Pegeen and Margaret, essentially the same name? The impact of Sindbad, following quiet, respectable Michael and Cedric, is wonderful!

You're so kind to think of me! Aw, thank you.
A lot of these are really great. I never knew that Peggy Guggenheim's daughter had the middle name Jezebel! That's fitting for Peggy.
Remedios is a badass name, it feels so powerful.
Amantine is so beautiful. And I've often thought that Leonora Carrington had an illustrious name. I think she went by "Carrington" rather than Leonora as well.

I've read a lot about Leonora recently, and I hadn't heard that. I did get her biography by her son, but I didn't have time to read it. It was an inter-library loan and I couldn't hold on to it. :-/
Peggy was something, wasn't she?
