I actually really love Lady and don't mind Leidy but I wouldn't use them for a real person.
Leidy could sound like Lady but could also sound like Lie-dy. Somewhat silly as a human name. Same with Lady. I'd instantly look around for the Tramp.
Leidy sounds like Lady. i heard and read this name on a documentary. The woman was from Colombia.
Written as Leidie, it would sound like Lady in Afrikaans but like Liedy in German. How it got to Colombia in the first place is anybody's guess.
