[Surname] Farmer

I know it sounds weird, but it really is my surname; Farmer. I wonder if anyone can help me find the true origin of my surname since all the sites i've visited give me diffirent answers?

Girls, this isn't a chat room!To answer your original question: it's most likely an occupation surname from farming. Most names like Carter, Tanner, etc are that way.
