I like it but I've only heard the pronunciation "gram". Can someone explain the other pronunciation?

I heard it pronounced "gram" by a coworker who was British when I worked at DisneyWorld so I'm curious.

Same! This is my first time that I heard Gram is uncommon. Like Graham Crackers.
