Ula and Zula are fine as nicknames. I've never seen Ulani and don't know anything about it.

I like Ulani and even added it onto my list relatively recently. Don't care for the other two, but they aren't horrible. They just aren't my taste

The only one I like is Ulani - I've seen it or other spellings a few times and known one. Ula seems incomplete, and Zula reminds me of Zulu, so something I wouldn't use as a name on a person.
