[Opinions] Artemisia
How would you pronounce this name? And what are your thoughts on it?

One of my favorites! I’m a fan of Artemisia Gentileschi. I pronounce it ar-teh-MEE-see-ah. It has lots of nickname possibilities too. Art/Artie and Missy are probably the most likely, but I think one could easily use Mia or Tess, as well. There’s an anime called Arte (AR-teh) that is loosely based on Artemisia Gentileschi’s life.

ART uh MEE zha. Fine for a plant; for a person, I find the smell unpleasant and the word cumbersome.
I like it a lot. I say it "Ar-tem-EE-zee-ah".
When I was in my very early 20s I was sold on using this on a kid one day. I thought a girl called Artie would be super cool. I thought it was so hip, the perfect combo of art history (for Gentileschi) and paganism.

It's gorgeous. I pronounce it roughly like so: "ar-ta-MEE-zha."
Art at miss a, to frilly
I love it! I'd pronounce it as ar-teh-MEE-see-a or ar-teh-MEE-zha (?) (I don't think I wrote that right, but I mean the sound at the end of Anastasia). I prefer it the first way but I've heard the second way, at least when talking about the sage genus. I've never seen this on a person but I'd use it as a middle name.
