[Opinions] Petunia
Petunia has become a steadfast source of pleasure for me. It's whimsical but not too flighty (because it's a flower, hence grounded), and it's quirkier than most floral names. I love the nickname Petey, which I first encountered on a woman in the Raoul Walsh film The Man I Love—it's the name of Ida Lupino's character. What do you think of Petunia?

I think it's fine, but I don't love it to be honest. That said, I think the best combos are Petunia Irene, Petunia Winifred, and Petunia Eleanor. The middle/accompanying needs to be at least 2 syllables, if not more, and begin with a vowel or a softer consonant like W.
I don't like it (have never been fond of petunias, and Harry Potter didn't do it any favors), but I like similar names so understand the appeal.
I feel like Petunia Caroline, Petunia Clare, Petunia Frances, and Petunia Rachel are the most elegant of your combos. Petunia Harriet and Petunia Maude are kind of cute in a kitschy high-contrast type of way.

Tied inextricably to Petunia Pig.
From your only Petunia Eloise works for me.

Don't like it at all
It is a very flighty, cartoonish kind of name. It never got any use to speak of even before it was used for a cartoon pig and then for Harry Potter's cartoonishly awfu aunt.
I also don't like the flower itself even though it grows easily and tends to look good wherever it's planted; the thin, sticky petals are a real turnoff.

I have always thought that Petunia was a beautiful name for a girl, and never understood why it's uncommon. When I was a little boy, I used to really like horses; I told myself that I'd get a white, thoroughbred mare and name her Petunia (lol, that has never happened). I think that Petunia would be a fun name for an animal to have, just as a human girl. Anyways, I really love all of your name combinations; Petunia Rachel is my favorite, however.
Petunia would be cute for a white mare.
