I prefer Belle, since it’s so spunky and pretty; it reminds me of a yellow rose. I also used to have a dog called Belle (a chocolate lab) who was my best friend. I’d honestly use the name Belle for a daughter. Funny, I also had a cat called Nina, the only cat I ever owned (a Calico). I didn’t have her long, but she was awesome. Strange how both of these were names of my old pets! I think that Nina is an awesome name, too. If you’re into it, why not combine both names into Ninabelle? If not, Belle Nina and Nina Belle are nice combinations.
Nina and by a landslide. Belle is pretty close to the bottom of my list, there are very very few names I would pick it over. Nina has character, it's soft but not without edges. It doesn't satnd out much on its own but it suits a person who stands out. Belle on the other hand is mushy, it's soft to the point of lacking any substance.
Belle. Something really grinds my gears about Nina. The way it looks, the way it sounds…I really don’t know why I dislike it as much as I do. I also don’t like how it’s so close to niña. Really, it just comes off as infantile to me. I imagine a brat tbh.
I don’t love Belle but if I had to choose, it’d be that.
