[Opinions] names from the restoration stage
The English actor and rake Theophilus Cibber (1703-58) married Susannah Maria Arne, an actress who was the sister of Thomas Arne of “Rule Britannia” fame. Before their marriage dissolved due to embezzlement and an ill-advised ménage à trois, they had two children, neither of whom survived infancy: Susannah and Caius-Gabriel. I have a few questions for you:
— If you had to nickname a son Theo, what would you name him, if Theodor(e) was not an option?
— What is your favourite nickname for Susanna(h)?
— Do you prefer the spelling Susannah or Susanna?
— Do you prefer Caius or Gaius?
— What would you name a brother and sister to Susannah and Caius-Gabriel?

Theophilus is such a grand old name. And Caius-Gabriel is decadent!
I'd opt for Theophilus, Theodoric, or Theobald. Theophanes is also cool.
I like Sukie.
I prefer Susanna.
Hmm, I think I like Caius and Gaius the same.

1. Theodosius. Appears in the Talmud as a roman-jewish name
2. Susie is good enough.
3. I assume you meant "Sussanah or Susanna". If so, I prefer Susannah.
4. Gaius. More pleasant to the ear.
5. Perhaps Miriam-Alexandra and Carl-David
