[Opinions] Re: Psyche
That teeters precariosly on the fine line between a bold move and a cheap audio-gag.
Thank the Lord the father wasn't a professor of gastrolenterology or fluid mechanics or accounting.
Dr. Psyche LastName, psychologist, is the kind of thing that I would think an editor would urge an author to change unless the author was intending to be funny. Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

Especially given the time period. It might be a bit much now, but then? It fit with the times and it has a neat connection. The other kids were:
Edith
McKeen
Owen
Quinta
Ware
Jacques The names do give off a 19th century, intellectual, 'off-beat' vibe, I admit.

And Psyche Cattell named her own adopted children Hudson (son) and Jowain (daughter), so she seems to have approved of uncommon names herself.

Wait, are you also vigdis, or is that someone else?Quinta reminds me of Quinta Brunson. I need to watch "Abbott Elementary".

Same person. Sorry, I wasn't thinking and replied too quickly. I can't edit. My phone is broken at the moment and I forgot my email passowrd. My account is linked to my phone, which makes the entire situation more complicated. And I always log in to BtN with my email. Fun times. Thankfully it's junk email account. If it were my primary account I'd be royally screwed. I was Vigdis for years. I'm now going to look up Quinta Brunson and Abbot Elementary.

Oh, no big deal, I just wondered. I thought maybe it could be a different person, but that username is kind of obscure, so I thought I would ask. :)

Fun fact: I chose Vigdis from a book - Gunnar's Daughter. (https://www.goodreads.com/book/show/6226.Gunnar_s_Daughter) She isn't that likable of a character, but I dug the name.
