Actually I think Madison sounds very much a surname, not suitable as fn for anyone.
And as it seemss that boys must be very macho in USA, it seems unwise to give a boy which is so very popular for girls.
I think a more uncommon name, like Maximilian, Malachy or Matthias, would be much better.

Personally, I'm not opposed to the surnames-as-first names thing, but I know that a lot of people don't care for it.
You might be right about the macho thing, although, since I think that's a gross part of my culture, giving into feels hypocritical... But maybe it would be unfair to force my opinions on my son.
Those are nice names. Max is my brother's name, actually. :)
