[Opinions] Thoughts on Fuchsia?
Fuchsia is my first name (named after Lady Fuchsia from the Gormenghast book series, of which my parents are huge fans of lol) , and people always either really hate it (understandable!! As it is a bit ridiculous and not to many’s taste)or they think it’s unique and cool :)
Personally I used to think it was weird, but it’s really grown on me as I’ve gotten older, especially as the name gets a mention in the song “the drowning man” by The Cure (which happens to be my favourite band lmao) . I would love to hear your opinions :)

It would be cool for a fantasy character or cat or something. I don’t like fuchsia as a color and I could easily see people mispronouncing it. That’s cool that there’s a song about it though.
Personally, it would be kind of weird for me to meet one in person just because it sounds like the name of someone I don’t like. Same F, same A, same “sh” sound. Nothing against you ofc.

I’m the person people go to when they need spelling help, but after 38 years on this planet I still can’t spell this word without looking it up. It makes zero sense in my brain.
Neat. I read the Gormenghast books as a kid and for some reason it left a real lasting impression, I haven't read it for a while but I've read the whole series multiple times and have a battered hardback of the whole series, I just have a real soft spot for it even though it's not everyone's taste (or even really the kind of book I usually go for!). Fuchsia was a fascinating, tragic character - as far as namesakes go, there's many names taken from tragic characters e.g. Ophelia, Juliet etc, so I don't consider this a negative.
I personally wouldn't use it as a first name, but I would as a middle name. I think it's cool and I like the association.

This is a guilty pleasure name of mine. I love it and would love to meet a Fuchsia.
It’s kind of out there, but not too strange. I know a Freesia and thought it was weird at first, but I got used to it pretty quickly.
A real-life Fuchsia? Whose parents spelled the color correctly? This is awesome!
I can only imagine how many spellings you've had to correct, though. Or how many times you've had to circumvent someone pronouncing the first syllable of your name as a... very vulgar word, lol. (This has happened to people I know with the last name Fuchs.)
