I like it alright. I had a friend in high school named Cindy.
I think it's one of those midcentury-ish no-nonsense type names - but not sweet. It has a smart, sassy vibe.
Like Joanie, Jeannie, Janet, Ginny, Sandy, Jackie, Angie, Gail, Rita, Wendy.
I think it can be a little childish, so would not fit just anybody - so I'd prefer it as a nickname rather than a full name.
