I actually like Dennis as a name, and sometimes feel alone in this. It doesn't help that the two most famous Dennises (perhaps) are Dennis the Menace and Dennis Reynolds.

Can't say I like Denny, though. And definitely not Kendris (though Kendra is an interesting feminine name).

I think that Dennis is an awesome name; I’ve always liked it. When I was 7 years old, I wanted to change my name to Dennis. I heard it on Dennis the Menace and fell in love with it. As for Denny, I love the nickname; I do associate it with the Denny’s restaurant, however. I’m not saying that’s a bad thing, since I also like Wendy (Wendy’s is a restaurant). Though, I’d probably use Dennis over Denny maybe.

I grew up for some time watching a YouTuber named DenisDaily. That kinda influences my thoughts on the name. I think of a charming, comical, and fair guy. Oh, and Denny Doherty. It's okay, not a name I would particularly take in serious consideration but its decent and respectable. Denny is okay but I just prefer full-on Dennis. Kendris seems like a more cutting-edge Kendra x Dennis, I like it enough.

Dennis is okay but I get a lot of dad-name vibes. It's kinda like Larry and Ken. But maybe a shade more wholesome and clean-cut.
Dennis Rodman, Dennis Hopper, Dennis Miller ... I easily forgot they were named Dennis until just now when I tried to think of some Dennises. It's just so normal and forgettable. I guess it has a good-humored vibe, too, though.
I don't love -is endings, esp. for guy names. I've never really been interested in the name Dennis. I prefer Dion / Deon.
eta oh yeah and I do remember Dennis the Menace. That has pretty much faded out for me, although it was strong around, like, 1990.

Denny - I don't think I've ever known one. I usually think of Denny as an Americanization of French Denis, rather than a nickname for Dennis. Since it's not shorter, as a nick it'd be a "boyish" one like Jimmy or Charlie, rather than a practical one like Rick or Tom. I think I'd rather use Den as a nick for a Dennis.

A guy whose last name was Denny was a founder of Seattle, and since I live near there, it comes off like a place name to me (name of a major street and probably other things idr right now). The association with the restaurant is strong, but that's fading out along with the restaurant itself, and I don't think it makes Denny unusable.

Kendris? I've never seen it. I like the name Kendrick a lot, but Kendris is just meh. Again with the -is ending. More interesting and memorable than Dennis, at least.

Dennis is ok. I can’t help but think of the movie Dennis the Menace.
I like the Russian variant Denis better. Denny is a cute nickname for a child named Dennis or Denis

Kendris is different. It sounds like a character in a fantasy novel rather than a given name.

I really like Dennis, it’s sweet. I like Denny a little less, probably because of the sleazy restaurant.

Never heard of Kendris. It’s okay but not sweet sounding like Dennis.

I prefer Denis, which is the spelling used by an old friend that I've, sadly, lost touch with. Denny could be a nn for Denis, if anyone needed one, but as an independent name it's a disaster. I've never encountered Kendris, and I hope my luck holds. It looks like an early disaster of genetic modification, like a cat with a green, scaly tail.

It's ok, don't really like Denny more. Don't like Kendris

It seems a bit dated in style and the the combination of letters is not appealing. I like Denny more because it seems more timeless. Kendris seems more feminine to me, maybe because of Kendra? I’ve never come across it before, what are its origins?
