Kind of funny that she makes a big deal of Leodis being such a historically Black name, and it's from Celtic language.
It sounds very dated and actually white-redneck to me. Like Lee Otis slurred together. I'd expect someone to use that in a joking manner the way Matt Groening used Cletus as the name for "the slackjawed yokel" on the Simpsons.And of course he'll go by Leo, only one of the most mainstream and trendy names out there.Before you criticize a man, walk a mile in his shoes. That way, when you criticize him, you're a mile away and you have his shoes!

Obviously she means historically in the US. Just looking up Leodis on Google I see predominately black faces.
