[Facts] Dolina
I've just been watching SpeakGaelic on BBC Alba and Joy's guest was called Dolina. Is it a Scots Gaelic name? I couldn't see it in the D list.

A feminized form of the Esperanto surname Dolino, borrowed from German Doline, English doline, French doline, Italian dolina, ultimately from Proto-Slavic *dȍlъ (“valley; pit, depression”). Compare Polish dolina (“valley”), Russian доли́на (dolína, “valley”).
Esperanto is an invented language and hardly anyone I assume would consider it their first language. There aren’t truly any Esperanto surnames. However the rest of this info is correct. Dolina means sinkhole in several European languages. It’s been used a location name, for example Dolina Apud in Madrid. Likely it was taken from these place names.
