[Opinions] Re: Claude or Elisha?
in reply to a message by Zina
Claude.
What’s funny is that Elisha is literally just Elijah spelled differently but I almost always end up saying it like Alicia (ah-LEE-sha). Which makes me it more fem for me. Claude just feels more extravagant and handsome. But if it were Elijah, I’d think different.
Also Jasper Claude is better than Jasper Elisha :)

Elisha was the successor of Elijah and he took him to heaven. So not exactly father but you can say that. And that is how you pronounce Elisha.
You said Elijah and Elisha are basically the same. Clearly not.
When I said “they are basically the same” I meant in pronunciation. If I said ee-LIE-zha out loud for all you know that could be spelt Elijah or Elisha. They are clearly not etymologically related but the sound is not that distinct. There’s just a slight difference in the sha and jah sound. To-MAE-to, To-MAH-to.
