Nate and Kelila have gotten a lot better over the past five years. Kelila still struggles with anorexia and anxiety, but her depression has decreased with the help of her therapist. Unfortunately, Hollis passed away from injuries sustained during a robbery at his office. Emilia was devastated, as well as the siblings. Michael became reclusive, barely being able to go to work. He begins to drink. He gains violent tendencies. As a result, Stephanie divorces him (and marries her recently acquired boyfriend). Despite this, all four of the children decide to stay with their dad. Natasha is saddened, but she must focus on other things with the births of her children, Daniella and Viktor. Emilia recently had a friends to lovers experience with Edwin Voss, a coworker who she babysits for now that his wife has passed. She loves kids, although she never had any with Hollis, and Edwin definitely needs help with his seven.
