Nate and Caitlyn had your pretty average love story. Fell in love during college, got married after graduation, Nate got a good job, Caitlyn got pregnant. Two sons and a daughter within three years. Lots of help from the grandparents.
Hollis, Michael, and Natasha (called Nat by her closest friends), had your average American childhood. Lived in a good neighborhood, played with the neighborhood kids, swam in the neighborhood pool, even had their own neighborhood bully. Hollis was big, strong, protective. He plays football, starting linebacker. Michael is more bookish than his older brother, doing well in school and part of debate club. He just got his permit and is a little scared about driving. Natasha wouldn't describe herself as a tomboy, but definitely shows those qualities. She likes football and is on the school swim team. Nat would never pass up the chance to have coffee or a sleepover with Vi and Lydie, her two best friends.
Next year holds a lot for the Samuels, however. Hollis will be off to college, Michael will be doing dual enrollment, and Natasha will have her permit. Not to mention both Caitlyn and Nate will be forty.
