I mean, in the plural or possessive it would sound like a synonym for butthole, so… pass.

Are you sure that the name isn’t showing a Russian popularity spike due to misspellings of Anya?

Anya is used only as a diminutive of Anna in Russia. It has three letters if spelled in Russian alphabet, while Ayna has four.
