If you asked the men of Pine Meadow, Vermont about Katie Boone, you were likely to believe she had worked her way through half the male population, leaving broken hearts (and on one thrilling occasion, broken bones) in her wake.
Katie herself would firmly attest that six men is hardly worthy of being called "many" and that she hadn't broken anyone's heart. Not really.
Except maybe her own.
Katie has recently moved home to Pine Meadow from her post-college life in the "big city," leaving behind a high powered career and a mysterious city-boy husband who has never set foot in her hometown. She's back working with her mother at the Silver Spoons diner, and trying to figure out what to do with her life after getting everything she ever wanted and finding out it wasn't what she wanted after all.
Thank goodness she has her family - larger-than-life cook and diner proprietor mother Josie Boone, gruff outdoorsman father Ned, and thoughtful and intense little brother Carter - and her best friend Rebecca to help her keep moving forward.
Season 1 features love interest Ashton Dylan, a childhood friend of her brother, and the looming specter of her estranged husband, Jason, who for some reason has never shown his face in Pine Meadow. Who is Jason, and who is Katie with him -- and without him? Is Ashton what she really needs?
Season 2 is in the wake of a breakup (but with which guy?) and focuses more on Katie as she relates to the others in her life. The romances in this season are centered around Carter Boone and Rebecca Summers. After the Season 1 Finale reveal that Rebecca has been seeing Noah, one of Katie's exes who we met in Season One in the course of the various antics that ensue when you live in a small town with three ex-boyfriends. Katie is definitely not jealous....right?
It seems like Carter might be seeing someone, but he's being awfully secretive about it...and about a lot of things all of a sudden. What's going on with Carter, and does Katie need to break somebody's arm (again)?
