Most names Addie can be short for are better in their full forms (Adelaide, Adeline, Adelia, etc), and most names Artie can me short for have better and more intuitive nicknames (Mattie/Tilda/Tillie for Matilda, Harry/Hattie for Harriet, etc)

Addie or Addy is a cute nickname for Addison, Adelaide, Adeline etc. I don’t care for Attie.

Addie is cute and I also like it spelled Addy. Attie is fine but I wouldn't use it.

Anything that starts with/contains ‘at’.Example:
Athena, Matilda, Fatima, Katarina, Natalie, etc...

Don't care for Addie at the best of times, similar to Maddie. Attie is okay; different and a bit strange, but slightly refreshing. Just slightly.
