It does not remind me of Christmas, not even a little bit. It's dated, the same age as Heidi and Alicia, but not as unfashionable.
I like it alright! I think the only reason I don't like it more, is because I strongly associate it with a particular Holly I knew.
I feel like holly as a symbol seems more pagan than Christian. I don't know for sure but I think it's of those symbols that was associated with other midwinter observances prior to Christianity, and got coopted.
