It’s okay. I prefer Johnny over John or Jonathan.
I just recently watched The Outsiders, so my first thought was Johnny Cade.
My second thought was “Boy Meets World”, when Harley Keiner gave the nickname ‘Johnny Baboon’ to Cory.
