I like both, but I prefer Isadora I have good associations with it. I prefer Magnolia to Magdalena, though I do love the nickname Lena.

I like both casually. I remember seeing a post or something about Isadora pointing out that the word “sad” stands out in it and now I can’t unsee it, so I’d probably go with Isidora. That said, I prefer Isidore. Magdalena is nice but would inevitably be Maggie, which I really dislike. So I guess Isidora.

MagdalenaYes, the "Magda" part can be a little harsh, but altogether this is a pretty epic name. Especially when pronounced mag-dah-LAY-nah (not LEE-nuh).Isidora & Isadora never fail to make me think of, "Is a door a ____?" (Isabella does this too, with bells, and it's why I don't care for Isabel as a middle name.)

Isidora or Isadora - I like the image it evokes: mysterious, art deco, emerald green.

Isadora. It’s fresher and less heavy.

Neither. Isadora Duncan is a powerful but tragic namesake, and I don't enjoy the rhythm of Isadora and Magdalena. That said, I like Magdalen. Not Magdalene or any other version. Magda is a reasonable nn.

Isadora has that “literary pretentions” feel to me. Magdalena gets my vote because it’s classic and has substance.

I don't like the "mag" in Magdalena. Isadora sounds smooth. Its much better than Isabella, although I like that too!

I prefer Magdalena because of the numerous nickname options.
