I know a Teresa who goes by Tessa, but I like Tessa better as its own name. I also like Tess as a nn for Tessa. I like Teresa better than Theresa and how much I like it varies. I certainly don't dislike it. Ione has a nice meaning. I wouldn't use it myself, but the sound is decent to my ears.
