My next door neighbour growing up was named Phyllis, and even as a young child I remember thinking how unfortunate that was and calling her "Jill" in my head, I can't tell you why Jill maybe because it rhymed.

Phyllida is slightly less unattractive, but only very marginally. Both sound like a disease or the treatment for one, possibly due to the similarity to syphilis.
