After the Caspian Sea my next association with the name is Narnia which was a heptalogy of books (7 books) written by C.S. Lewis. One of the characters was Prince Caspian.
I prefer Caspian to Ian but as Ian is the name of my father in law and the name my father is known by I’d be more likely to go with Ian.
