Could never get on board with this name. I can understand the appeal of all the Anglophone classics except Margaret - I even see the appeal of other "not pretty" / "not overtly feminine" names like Rachel and Bridget. But not Margaret. It's literally gritty (at the end).
Margot, however, is quite nice - as is Marguerite. Gretchen is fun. But no Margaret, not for me. I don't even like Maggie (which makes me think of a shaggy dog).
