Nickname or full name, I think it's cute.
I can definitely see it as a nickname for Delaney, especially if they (or someone they knew) first mispronounced it as a toddler and it stuck. Toddlers often can't pronounce the "L" sound (e.g. saying 'yewwow' instead of 'yellow').
