I spent a summer in Zambia about a decade and knew a little boy named Gift. Sweet kid. Not a usable name.
Purity... I'll spare anyone reading for my theological/sociological rant related to this word and the baggage associated with it, but needless to say I would never use it and would not blame the girl for changing her name when she could.
