Henry and Annalie debated over names, but in the end, he wanted her to be happy. As a professor of women's literature, Annalie wanted a name that reflected some of her favorites. Henry chose Avonlea after one of Annalie's favorite novels, and she chose Louisa after the author of another favorite. Alea is a lovely red-headed infant with a passion for listening to her parents read to her.
