I don’t hate it but I don’t like it either. It’s just decent. I like the nickname Jazzy for it, but then again you can still get that from
Jasmine,
Jael,
Jaimie,
Jacqueline, or
Jeannine. I do like
Jasper and
Casper for a boy though.
It has a nice meaning and it’s rugged handsome for a boy. The stone aspect of it on a male makes it even more interesting. This was also a name given to one of the wise men in the Bible, so just like how I feel with names that are pretty much etymologically masculine on a girl, I don’t really like it.
