I would happily use Alice IRL; having run out of daughters, I used it for a cat, which also worked well.

I also like Alison, but people tend to shorten it to Allie, which I'm not keen on. Alice seems to escape intact, so I'd use Alice as a fn and Alison, if at all, as a mn.
