House of Northumbria
DH [50]: King Henry Maurice Firmin
DW [dec.]: Queen Cassandra Eloise
DW [38]: Queen Flavienne, née Baroness of the Franks
DS [27]: Crown Prince Nicholas Jolyon Firmin
-DW [22]: Crown Princess Annora, née Duchess of Cleveland
DS [25]: King Edmundo of Aragon, née Prince Edmund Richard Firmin of Northumbria
-DW [22]: Queen Adora Marianela of Aragon
-DS [3]: Prince Josepe Henry of Aragon
DD [21]: Princess Maud Agnes Adelaide
-exDF [dec]: King Ercole of Venice
-DF [23]: Prince Ruadh of Scotland
Even time did not change the feelings between Henry and his second wife, while they are both commited to leading Northumbria from strength to strength they live their separate private lifes both happy with the unspoken arrangement they have found. Henry is spending as much time as possible with his concubine, daughter of a well known merchant, while Flavienne is said to have taken a great liking to her horseback riding teacher.
With his own life settled, it was time for Henry to focus on the marriage politics through his three children. The first wedding went through without a hitch. His younger son Edmund married Queen Adora on Aragon on the day of her eighteenth birthday and became King Edmundo of Aragon. Edmundo and Adora's first son Prince Josepe Henry, named after both his grandfathers, arrived on the couple's first wedding anniversary, but is yet to be followed by a spare which is a bit worrying. Edmundo and Adora appear to be very much in love, so Henry likes to say to himself that another child is just a matter of time.
The second wedding never happened as King Ercole of Venice was assassinated a year into the betrothal with young Princess Maud by his uncle Prince Annibale. Although not happy about the premature death of her fiancé, Maud breathed a sigh of relief when the news reached Northumbria but dutifully held the obligatory mourning period, this also held off her father from immediately planning another betrothal. Henry focused instead on his oldest son and heir to Northumbria's throne. Handpicking a bride for Nicholas turned out to be an issue as there were no suitable brides in the families that Henry would like to enter into aliance with. Finally the situation resolved itself when Nicholas picked his future wife by himself, Duchess Annora of Cleveland a well known beauty in the noble circles. They were married after a six months long betrothal a year ago. Although Annora is yet to be with a child, the situation is so far not alarming to anyone.
With Nicholas successfully married it was time to arrange another marriage for Maud before she became an old-maiden. Prince Ruadh of Scotland turned out to be the best candidate. The second son of King Tam of Scotland owns several castles and properties in the country and Henry's only daughter is destined to be living a very comfortable life following the planned wedding. While not excited about moving further north, Maud is much more pleased with the second potential husband that her father picked and is looking forward to finally seeing him in person on their wedding day.
