Here is a link to my column on Evelyn. As usual having to say things in 550 words meant I had to leave a lot of things out, including the fact that in Britian the male name is usually pronounced with the first syllable as "Eve". I am not sure if the female name is also said that way in Britain or not. In the USA the name is normally pronounced with the first syllable rhyming with the first syllable in Kevin.
