Joanne does not appeal to me: I find the rhythm unattractive and the name soon sounds whiney. I prefer Joan.
But I far prefer Joanna and would gladly use it, but for the likelihood of Jo as a nn; as a mn it would be splendid. And with Visions Of Johanna and Give Me Hope, Joanna to listen to inside my head, what a pleasure for a lover of vintage pop!
