[Opinions] Re: Frieda
in reply to a message by Array
I have two Aunt Freda's so I've grown up with the name. But I must say I've always liked it. It always reminded me of the word "freedom."
I don't particularly like the Frida spelling either. But I worry about Frieda and Freda getting mispronounced ("FRY-da" and "FRED-a.") Hopefully, I'm just being overly concerned.
I also love "freh-DREE-ka," with Frieda / Freda as a nn. But I'm never sure how I would spell the formal name. Fredrika? Fredricka? Frederica? Any thoughts?
