Which name for a 13-year-old boy? He is the boyfriend of a friend of the main character's. His interests are reading, golf, geography, history, science and religion; he wants to be a Geographer. He has red or brown hair and green eyes.
Joel, Rowan, George, Patrick Quinn - born 2005 in Ireland now living in New Zealand.My top picks are Joel, Rowan or Patrick Quinn; but I'd like some more opinions.

Patrick Quinn is snobbish, George Quinn is upper-class, Rowan Quinn seems like a reliable, wholesome person. It all depends on what you wanna do with the story.

Uh...someone born in 2005 would be 16 or 17 now. I hope you're basing this in 2018, when the character would be 13. (Not trying to be rude, lol.)I would choose Patrick Quinn, it's nice.Also...how about Callum or Sean?

I'd go for Rowan. Then Joel. Patrick, with or without Quinn, is too stereotypically Irish for comfort, and I dislike George.
