It’s fine. Not good, not bad, just there.

Nothing wrong with the name itself, but a bit boring. I feel like Philip has had it's time. Apparently my brother and his wife are considering naming their newborn son Philip/Filip.

I like it. Though, now I think about it, I've never met a Philip that I can remember, with the exception of a good friend whose mn it is. His wife sometimes calls him Phil, just for a change!

I would never use Philip myself, although I do like it and I do think it's usable. I love Philippa for a girl, and I's use it tomorrow, so Philip doesn't stand a chance.

It's my husband's name, though he spells it with two l's and the one-l version has never looked quite right to me. I've always liked it. His parents always called him by the full name, but most of his friends call him Phil and he'll answer to both.
