Looks French.
I kinda think it seems too light or babyish, as a full name, because it's got that repeated-syllable thing going on, like Coco or Gigi. But would be cute as a nick.
I think it removes the floweriness a bit, yeah - and looks nicer than Lilly, by far.
But I think names are mostly heard rather than read, so I'm not sure it makes a huge difference.
