I usually really dislike “last names as first names”. However, to my utter annoyance, I think it’s lovely ;-D Very handsome. I always enjoyed it as a last name but it’s got qualities as a first name as well.

Dalton reminds me too of the education system found by Helen Parkhurst.

I don't like it at all

It’s okay but just another place name or last name first name for me. There is a town in England called Dalton in Furness and 3 well known scrap metal recycling centres near me owned by Stephen Dalton and known as Dalton metal recycling.

Dalton always remind me daltonico that in Italian is the usual word for "colour-blind", not just for people who see black-and-white but also for the ones who see the colours switched.
