[Opinions] Re: Vaiata

It’s very nice, but I question the accuracy of the meanings you found. I don’t know everything of course, but names have been a hobby of mine for almost 30 years, and that “princess bath” meaning breakdown isn’t ringing any bells with any of the language roots I know. The water/rain bit, maybe. Where does it come from?

I found some of it in this Tahitian and English dictionary:
Vaiata is toward the bottom left of page 309:
https://books.google.com/books?id=wG4IAwAAQBAJ&pg=PA309&lpg=PA309&dq=tahitian+and+english+dictionary+vaiata+species+of+taro&source=bl&ots=EPlvRM8_JQ&sig=ACfU3U0KxrR2bwW0BbLhD3zVcoF1AJcVtA&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwiBzeqm5sD0AhWUsDEKHfXjD0oQ6AF6BAgsEAI#v=onepage&q=tahitian%20and%20english%20dictionary%20vaiata%20species%20of%20taro&f=false
Several definitions of ata are toward the top right of page 41:
https://books.google.com/books?id=wG4IAwAAQBAJ&pg=PA41&lpg=PA41&dq=a+tahitian+and+english+dictionary+ata&source=bl&ots=EPlvSD-TCQ&sig=ACfU3U161TFx-vBOdP2Knn8EES_2-Y3HWw&hl=en&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwj2hJCU58D0AhWtQzABHdV5DKgQ6AF6BAglEAI#v=onepage&q=a%20tahitian%20and%20english%20dictionary%20ata&f=false
I also found some of it from a Tahitian names list here. Search "Vaiata":

This Book of Cook Island Maori names also has a meaning:

(Sorry about all of the long links!)
What do you think of these sources? Do they seem valid?
