I MUCH prefer Leila. It's the most traditial and prettiest to me. Leyla is okay, but Layla, as Array so rightly puts it, looks like name diarrhea. Leila Scarlett is gorgeous! I don't like the others at all.

My fave spelling of the name is Layla, since I pronounce it as LAY-lah anyway. I really like the combos Layla Kate, Layla Rose, Layla Ruby, Layla Brooke, Layla Madeleine and Layla Sophie. My fave combo from your list is Layla Skye. Although I'd prefer Layla Sky.

It is one of the top three girls names I love at this point. I love all the spellings but I think Layla could be prone to more teasing than the others. I personally love Leyla better but I really like Leila as well. I love the meaning and sound of Leyla as it is so elegant. Of your list, I like Leila Skye best. I like Leila Summer, Leila Ivarie, Leila Anjali and Leila Grace.

Leila is my favourite, but I also really like Layla.- Layla / Leyla / Leila Skye or Skylar - NMS. Too trendy, hence boring.- Layla / Leyla / Leila Scarlett - Beautiful! IMO, the spelling Leila would looks better with the mn Scarlett. This is my absolute favourite of the bunch.- Layla / Leila / Leyla West - NMS, but not terrible either. West just makes me think of West as in nn for Westley or Weston instead of the direction, which is why I find it a bit too masculine.

I like Layla, Laila, and Leyla. I think Layla Skye flows the best, though it's not my style at all. suggestions:Layla Fay/Leyla Fey/Laila Faie (original spelling of "fay/fey")
Leyla Setareh (Persian for "star")
Layla Estelle
Laila Susanne
Layla Shoshenneh (transliteration. equivalent of "Susan", and is the name for Lily-of-the-Valley, I believe.)
Layla Sheereen/Shirin (means sweet, sugar)

Layla and Leyla both look like the naming equivalent of diarrhea to me--so, much as I love Clapton, the only way I'll spell LAY-luh is Leila. (Laila is lah-EE-lah and Lela is LEE-lah for me.)None of those combos really does it for me. I like:Leila Lycoris
Leila Julanne
Leila Persephone
Leila Bernadette
Leila Roisin
Leila Perpetua
Leila Valerie
Leila Violet
Leila Evangeline
Leila June
Leila Juniper
Leila Veronique
Leila Velia
Leila Verena
Leila Verona
Leila Heloise
Leila Cornelia
Leila Winifred
Leila PearlI think it sounds very nice with a good strong V sound. :)Array (overall really prefers Laila to Leila at this point)

She had fallen against the windows, which were pressed against the windows, which were pressed against the old oak near across the age of the old Aunt Sophronia--was almost dreadful enough to walk on. A revolution without dancing is a revolution not worth having.

Over here (the Netherlands) there's a subtle difference in pronunciation between Leila and Layla. I like both these spellings. I don't like Leyla, because it looks like a mixture of Leila and Layla. If I would have to choose right now I'd go with Layla. Layla Scarlett is best of your mn options. Skye is too abrupt for me and Skylar sounds odd with the repeting IE sound. Scarlett is nice. West isn't a name to me, and if it had to be a name I'd say it was a boys name.
