I really love Doris. It sounds sunshiney as hell, since I immediately picture the fabulous Doris Day. But then, I just love two-syllable -is names, particularly Doris, Avis, and Maris.Array

How about combining Avis and Maris into Mavis? I've always thought Mavis was due for an old fashioned name comeback if Mabel is.
