[Opinions] Belle

Belle is lovely. It always makes me think of the character is Disney’s Beauty and the beast, but I don’t mind that at all, since she’s my fave Disney princess and that’s my fave Disney movie. It’s a very sweet name. Isabelle “Belle” and Isabella “Bella” are nice too, but I honestly prefer just Belle and Bella. Isabelle “Belle” makes more sense than Isabel “Belle”, but to each their own.
Belle is beautiful! It's fine on it's own, but there are also lovely potential full names to use as well. My favourite is Rosabelle.
Strangely enough, as a Bella, I'm never called Belle.

Belle, to me, is frivolous and sentimental.
I don't like Isabelle except in a French context; I find Isabella over-ornate.
I prefer Bella to Belle, but I'd be happy never to see or hear it again.
I like Isabel and love Isobel, but I'd use them both in the full form: no nicknames at all. Though, my friend Isobel is called Iso in her family! Not by me, though.

I don’t really like it as a stand alone name, but it’s fine as a nickname. It just makes me think of Beauty and the Beast.
I don't like it as a full name, ok as a nn. I think it works better for Isabelle
I like it as it is, Belle, and as a NN for Isabelle. I do not care for the hyper popularity of Isabella and do not care for Bella because it reminds me too much of a dog's name. It is Nice as a dog's name but I only see it as a dog's name. Whereas Belle is of course Disney's Belle in Beauty and the Beast as well as the love interest in A Christmas Carol, etc. In the US we also associate Belle with meaning a beautiful southern woman. I do not feel it works as well with Isabel. Yes, Isabelle is the obvious choice but I think Annabelle works too though ik you don't care for that spelling I suppose.
