Beulah. I feel like it’s one of those names that almost everyone hates, but I just think it’s adorable. I love the airiness of -lah prefixed with the punchy Beu-.

I dislike it because the German "Beule" means "bump" as in "bumping your head".
But I can see how it would be okay in an English speaking country. It is not awful.

I don't waste my hatred on unimportant things or things I can't change. So, no. But a world without Beulah would be a happier place; never has a name sounded more like a cow with sinusitis.

I like it. It looks and sounds so grand, and it also has a 1920s vibe to it. The meaning is somewhat okay.

It's the first syllable. Bewwwww sounds so whiny to me. I don't hate the name, but I don't like it. I also don't like the meaning. I would like it slightly more if it were pronounced Bow-la.

Interesting! Bow-lah for me is just “bowler” so that would make me like it a lot less! Unless you mean bow to rhyme with now of course, in which case it sounds like bowel, haha.

Yes, I hate it! Hahaha. Everything about it is ugly! I hate the way "Beu" looks, and I think the "punchiness" of it is just awkward. And "lah" is silly and I think very incongruous with Beu.
