I see its appeal but it isn't one of my favourite portmanteau names, I prefer Annabelle.
I would spell it Annelise or Annalisa, I don't really like the 'Liese' spelling.
By the way, how did it get so popular all of a sudden in France, in the early 1940's?

There was a 1940s Olympian by this name - perhaps this is why?
